Playstation 3 At E3 In Playable Form
 

January 27, 2005 - Sony has cryptically announced that the Playstation 3 will be in playable form at E3 in May, although it is uncertain whether there any actual titles will be present, or just tech demos. Additionally, Sony will make an announcement about the system at the end of March....

That pic of the PS3 looks like its going to be pretty big. But I guess that gives sony the ability to drop price in the orginal PS3 and release a new model of it at regular cost even though they could have first time around ;)

Actually it's not too bad to spend $300 every 3-4 years to upgrade a video game system rather than a $2-$4K every 1-2 years to be able to play high quality games.

i will be getting that badboy... i use my PS2 DAILY, movies, games, music... i love it

I assume your talking about upgrading a pc to play top of the line games? $2-4k is a crazy number, you must be smoking crack.

I've heard that the PS3 wont be faster than the fastest gfx cards for PC

It's got 10 procesors I read ... dunno but it's certainly gonna kick butts

If you're buying the high end gaming pc's every couple of years, those numbers are very realistic.

I will belive it when I see it...till then its nothing but hype (something that Sony excels at)

If you are smart you will keep doing minor upgrades every 6 months or so and you will not loose much selling your old stuff 2nd hand and upgrading :thumbsup

the look of the ps3 is very sleek

the PS3 looks hot i've seen a lot of diff variations of what it's "supposed to" look like but if it does look like that i will have to get one thats just so hot and sleak lookin better than the white one that resembled the xbox

I've never installed a single game on any of my PC's. That's not what I buy computers for but I'm sure you're right. I do read all the mags and watch the deals on the web and I see what the gaming machines go for which was all my post was about. It shocks me to see the prices on those alienware machines. High dollar stuff.

console gaming can become an expensive habit ... i was sad when my xbox died but it was really a godsend. I'm sure mini-rink hockey on NHL2k5 will kill my PS2.
