WTF! I was sure they were fake. The first one that got big was www.freeipods.com or some shit like that. Anyway a friend of mine really got one. Crazy. Do they make good money? It looks like they lose money unless at least 3 out of 4 people that try to make the referrals make a few but don't get enough to claim the prize. Any of you own these?


Any of you know of any fakes? I'm going for www.notebooks4free.com . 18 referrals for a free laptop.

btw, for those of you who do try these (not just mine but any of these kind of promotions) here is my advice:

- use an email account that you don't mind getting spammed
- if you have a chance to do the Blockbuster offer, try it! it's worth it for the free in-store rental coupons and in the free trial time you could easily rent 6 movies... i even decided to keep the blockbuster account after the trial because it's a nice service...
- use epassporte virtual credit cards or paypal cards that have no money in them... nothing proven but i prefer to play it safe with the offers...

some offers take longer to "clear" so your status may not get updated until the end of the expiration period... my one referral so far told me he got billed by eFax because he forgot to cancel it so boom they made their money...and i assure you he is one of who knows how many that will forget to cancel until that first charge appears...

My thoughts on this, is to make a landing page that is legit.. no porn involved, and then send your traffic from the TGP to that page. No way they could track where the traffic is coming from other than the landing page.

lol, if GratisNetwork (owns the free****.com sites) didn't turn a profit, why would they keep churning out more sites?

They're currently 95th in the Inc500, and last time I checked, they had net profits of over $10 million or something to that extent.

it's not that bad really; the hardest part is making people realize that this system is legit and works... most people are weary of it; just need to realize that yes the email account you use will get spammed so if you own a domain make a spam box account and use that...

IM not completing the offer untill i referr 5 people who have completed the offer, so i have nothing to lose.
