Are you smart? Solve this riddle:
A wise old beggar is caught stealing from the Kings garden, and brought before the King. The King, a lover of puzzles, gave the old man one chance to live.
He tells the man, "I have two daughters who are identical twins. One is named Emily and the other Sarah. Strangely, Sarah always lies, and Emily always tells the truth. However, I will not tell you which is which. Furthermore, you may only ask one of my daughters one question, and must be able to determine what is the name of the married daughter." At this, the old mans eyes lit up remembering the islander/fork in road problem everybody has heard before. Seeing this, the king grinned and added an extra stipulation, "The question you ask must be three words or less, and must make sense, else you will be executed on the spot." The old man thought for a long time, and upon hearing a yes to his question, named the daughter and was set free. What was the question the old man asked? |
To Sarah: Does Emily lie?
(Or to Emily: Does Sarah lie?) |

"are you female?"

Sorry I'm way to dumb for this
|
Eric_aka_RedEyes and Aquarius got it rite. It's "Are you married"
|
Ok, but if he asks "Are you married?" to the one that lies, and she says yes or no and lies about it... how does that determine which one is married?

Nevermind...
Sarah always lies: "Are you married?" 'Yes.' which would mean she's not Emily always tells the truth: "Are you married?" 'Yes.' which would mean she is Sarah always lies: "Are you married?" 'No.' which would mean she is Emily always tells the truth: "Are you married?" 'No.' which would mean she isn't lol good one. My answer was going to be, "Are you single?" |

are you married doesnt work
lets say that Emily is married you can ask ONE of the girl a question if you ask Emily she will say yes if you ask Sarah she will tell yes you're fucked |
Are you married?
If Sarah is asked and Sarah is married, she'll say no. If Sarah is asked and Emily is married, she'll say yes. If Emily is asked and Emily is married, she'll say yes. If Emily is asked and Sarah is married, she'll say no. Simple as pie. |

No,, you just need to think harder. |
remember you dont know who's who
identical twin |
Are you married?
If emily is married they will both says yes. If sarah is married they will both says no. If you get a YES from either , EMILY is married If you get a NO from either , Sarah is married |
yea it only work when you know that this person is lying ..
X anwers YES y Answers NO -> now tell me who is who without telling that bla is always lying .. just for this case who is X and who is Y ? |
