Upright, coin-op, arcade games. Does anyone know if...
I'm looking for a Tron upright game. Since "Tron" and the "discs of Tron" use the same controller setups would it be possible to have both games run from one arcade upright?
Also, I've seen some games where you can get like 20 or more games on one upright arcade. I'm looking for a few of the 80's games. Does any one know of an emulator supply store? or someplace like that? |
I used to be involved with that stuff.
You can find out anything you need here, http://www.mameroom.com/home.htm Good Luck. |
Can't answer your first question for sure, but I don't see why it wouldn't be possible without a few modifications.
As for the second question, what you're looking for is a MAME. There are a few sites that have building plans to create your own or that you can order kits or completed machines. You can probably snag one on eBay too. |
TRON is AWESOME!!!

Good luck. I've been searching for quite a while for the Discs of Tron version that you stood inside of with the blacklights and stereo speakers.
Always loved that game but finding one in decent shape is nearly impossible. I visited a place a few years ago that had one that had been in storage since it was new. Thing was perfect but the owner refused to sell. :( |

I can't help with your question but I always wanted a Tron and a Tempest machine. Those 2 games were the shit back when you needed a pocketful of quarters to play videogames.

Redshoe I am pretty sure there is a place that builds those things in like Sun Valley. Damned if I can find it now, but I bookmarked it once.
hey here I found it: http://www.gamedoc.com |

Actually. I used to work right next door to them when I was working in FX. I had my tempest upright fixed there. They have a table top Tron which I may get for my new studio, but I'm trying to find a Discs of Tron that can house both Tron games. Gamedoc told me that the controllers and the main control panel was different, and that they couldn't put both games into one machine. I found one online at ebay for 810.00 so far, but it's in Vegas. I was hoping that GameDoc would have one. Thanks for lookin' out though, girl. :) |
i built my own arcade game
