Bush-haters you can't touch this argument!

Another reason why you shouldn't complain:

By complain about Bush winning and Kerry not winning from the present time, you're complaining and saying from a present perspective that if Kerry had won, things would have been different. However, the unrealized past of Kerry not winning cannot be compared to the retrospective view of what Bush has done to this present moment. This is so because by saying that something that never happened could have been better than what has happened to this point, you're basically trying to predict the future of the unrealized past from a present perspective. That is the same as trying to predict the future that hasn't occured yet from our current view point. I don't know any sane person who thinks the future can be predicted, but hell, that doesn't stop all you bitching assholes from complaining all the time.

Maybe thinking would be a better waste of time?

I can't believe you love Bush enough to post that crap.

yea well, look at the history of past presidents and you'll see that the presidents have never had any control and it's not up to bush to decide what happens. bush or not, the foreign policy of the states remains the same :2 cents:

You can make the argument that the poor are typically uneducated. And yes, probably jeleous too.

Jace 01-26-2005 10:13 PM

i gave up on complaining

i just do my thing, don't set out to hurt others and hope i don't die anytime soon

kamasutrababe 01-26-2005 11:11 PM

So by your logic if Bush tells me, "We have to invade Iraq and take out Saddam, because he might have WMDs and might use them or allow them to be used on us, " my proper response should then be to tell him that he is

"trying to predict the future that hasn't occured yet from our current view point. I don't know any sane person who thinks the future can be predicted."

Betty Botter had some butter.
"But", she said, "this butter's bitter.
If I bake this bitter butter
it'll make my batter bitter.
But a bit of better butter,
that would make my batter better!"
So she bought a bit of butter
(better than her bitter butter),
and she baked it in her batter,
and the batter was not bitter.
So, 'twas better Betty Botter
bought a bit of better butter. :upsidedow

I would rather have nothing happen or even the unexpected rather than Bush.

regardless of election outcome, you're still an idiot :)

Dude open yer fucking eyes and just look at lets say the national deficit when repubs are in office VS Dems..... now you tell me there wouldn't have been a difference. Republicans ALWAYS drive us into a debt and Dems ALWAYS pull us out of it. But you're right, 4 more years of republican spending VS Democratic fiscal responsibility wouldn't have made any difference either.

exactly, so how the fuck do you know if Kerry had been elected it wouldn't have been different? Now shut the fuck up, argument works both ways and you're contradicting yourself jackass.

:thumbsup

unfortunately it will fall on deaf ears

bllott, you simply dont understand how idiotic that statement was - save this thread so that in 20 years when your 34 and more mature you can go back and laugh or at least show your child psychologist now!

Tipsy 01-27-2005 08:41 AM

I clicked on this thread curious to see if there was some kind of well thought out, intelligent argument. Sadly I wasted my time and as expected found the opposite.

Phoenix 01-27-2005 08:44 AM

jeeez...who friggin cares it is obvious you guys have no say in who is controlling youir country anyway..just go with the flow and stay out of harms way

Johny Traffic 01-27-2005 08:46 AM

jawanda 01-27-2005 08:48 AM

You are missing the point. It has nothing to do with Kerry and what "could be". I complain because our president has the intellect of a 13 year old. Period.
