want to buy a new one in the next days..

Is a Intel Centrino 1,5GHZ (1024mb Cache) as good as a AMD 3GHZ?

they're in the same price range what really makes me think. :question

go with the AMD

why? its a Mobile AMD Sempron 3000+

AMD has done good by me and the centrino has heating issues...

I went fine with AMD too ...

I prefer AMD anyday unless you are doing hardcore gaming...

the amd will be faster, plus they are good chips, but the fan may be a bit louder.

I would choose AMD as well!

if you want to take him with you (uptime) i would go for the centrino, otherwise the AMD :)

Never ever experienced heating issues on any of my centrino laptops. They have been very fast and very reliable. And they are quiet and the battery lasts forever.

and just so you know, sempron is just another name they came up with, not much difference from their regular processor...at least from what I can tell from reading about them
