What is the best ripping sotware ? Anyone open source?

Your lack of details disturbs me.

I use Steinberg Wavelab. It's overkill but it's fantastic. There's another one called EAC (Exact Audio Copy) that is rated the best in it's class. I would use that if I weren't using the big program.
