Hosting rant...
 

Why the hell do hosts offer small hosting plans if they aren't going to support it? So I have a dedicated server for my main stuff but I needed some different IP's from what on my main box for some extra cross linking power.

So I get a small 100 gig a month plan at a "well known" adult hosting company. All I asked was a very simple request and they would probably never here from me other than paying my bill.

I wanted 5 IP's (the plan came with 2) So I tried to order 3 extra IP's with the plan.. Well there was no where to add that option when ordering the server. So I ask live sales person about it, the sales guy tells me to just put it in the comments and they will be added.

So I list 10 domains which I wanted split 2 domains per IP. So what do they do.. They put all 10 domains on 1 IP. Top this off with the apache server was set up wrong and wouldn't start.. So I tell live support I need this fixed and I need the extra IP's ..

They get the apache going.. but still didn't change the IP's.. Tried again on live support, no such luck.. So I figure great.. I'll open a trouble ticket .. nope that doesn't work either two days later they still haven't replied to the trouble ticket.

I should do a charge back I swear to hell.

na as luck would have it they answered my ticket.. so we will see how it goes..
