Yep - they load fine but when you click they're very, very slow or simply timeout. Seems the click tracking server has probs.

Same here... hope it helps.

pornoshare 01-25-2005 10:15 AM

Thanks for pointing this out.

I have banners on there too and am experiencing exactly the same thing from this end. Took more than a minute to load through to the site. What a joke!

Do you have any idea how long this has been going on for?

check 01-25-2005 10:27 AM

i checked few days ago.
it may happened all the time. :(

milambur 01-25-2005 10:45 AM

Holy shit, that's got to hurt. Those banner spots are practically worthless like that.

xxxmaster 01-25-2005 10:48 AM

and cost $1100 fuck that, get a hold of them now

Ron2k1 01-25-2005 11:26 AM

it took about 1 minute to load a banner ad, has this been going on for a few days now? I can't believe it, I thought stuff like this never happened on The Hun.

They should definatly compensate their advertisers for this

Banners load fine on the hun's end but the slowdown seems to be at http://www.logging.to/log.php trying to load the actual sponsors page. I would imagine they are an out clicks tracking system /service that is used by the hun. One of the sponsors page that did not go through www.logging.to/log.php popped right up with no problem.

damit

you guys are right, even my banner on the confirmation page doesn't link to my ad page when clicked.

CyberCat, please look in to this matter ASAP.

MetaMan 01-25-2005 11:50 AM

no banners even load for me in mozilla, any else?

The Hun 01-26-2005 11:17 AM

Maybe it's an idea to mail me when something's wrong. I don't know what you were trying to accomplish by posting it here, but if it's fixing a problem a direct e-mail works much, much better.

I see in the stats that we were running about 10% lower clicks (most likely 'cause of these timeouts) for about 3 days. So that's slow for 10% of the month. So that would mean the clicks were down about 1% for the entire month. I wouldn't call that making it worthless... Especially since January for instance has 10% MORE days than February. As a courtesy to the webmasters however we didn't increase the banner prices for that month :)

Anyway, Please, please, next time this happens, send me an e-mail so we can look at it right away. The server hasn't been down, we had some problems with script on the server that does the stats, which caused the clicks on the banners to be forwarded slow.

I guess those that didn't have paid banners just presumed those that did would already have contacted people. Were I paying that for a spot everyone and their dog would have had an e-mail about the problem. Seems odd if they didn't but then this is Internet porn I suppose. Unfortunately the smartest/most logical thing to do is rarely thing thing actually done :(

Works perfect here. Out of 4 clicks only one took extra 2sec to get to a site, the rest went instantly.
