What's that all about? Heard some babbles on CNN last night couldn't make anything out of it. Anyone knows?

Believe it was on Lou Dobb was saying something like europe wants to form United States Of Europe so they can be the 2nd super power so there's a balance in the world ie. 1 super power alone does not decide the fate for rest of the world or something like that. CNN caption title was "United States Of Europe".. I didn't get the whole scoop of the story hopefully, they'll talk about it again tonight so I get wtf exactly they were talking about. However, I doubt U.S. would do nothing to stop this :warning

Lol, as everyone knows the EU countries are getting closer and closer to each other, so something some people refer to as "The United States of Europe" is considered by some observers as the possible next step in the european intergation in let's say 10-20 years.

But don't worry, you won't wake up tommorow and read in the newspaper about a new country called United States of Europe :1orglaugh

Who gives a fuck? Chicken Littles talk about "new world order". If we can have a USA then why can't Europe have United States of Euope? What is the difference? When we started we were 13 different COUNTIRES. STATE means COUNTRY by the way.

State does not MEAN country.

However, a country is considered a state. A City is a state. A school is a state. A hospital is a state. An apartment building is a state.

The definition of state is actually pretty broad.

The European Union is the United Countries (or Regions) of Europe. That's the closest you'll get to a United States of Europe.

Canada's alter-name could be United Provinces & Territories of America... just a thought.. UPTA...

Yea they should let Turkey in the EU and then join together under one tax system. The US of E is a long way off if ever. I know many Euroreans that think that they got screwed with the Euro and the French and the Germans are bringing the EU down.

I hope the Euro dies a quick death because our exchange rate against it really sucks monkey balls.
