Good Apartments in Chicago?

I know theres a lot of people here who live in Chicago, what do you guys know about any 'ok'ish apartments near this address:

350 E Cermak Rd. Chicago, IL 60616

Cant be more than 3 miles away, and preferably as close as 2-3 blocks.

Any recommendations, other than going to check rent.com? (personal recommendations are always great)

Looking for a place near Equinix I take it? We have an office downtown and can probably give you some pointers.

I wouldn't want to live within anywhere within 3 miles of Equinix -- right now.

Seems there's currently some gentrification going on in the immediate area though.

Presidential Towers a little more than 2-3 blocks though

There's tons of new apts in the south loop which is north of Cermak to the tip of downtown that are extremely nice. If you aren't gangsta as someone said above I wouldn't move much further than a block or two south of Cermak but staying north of that address and keeping your price point above $1,500 virtually guarentees you something nice and probably very trendy.

Just walk around where you want to live.
