and again as magg said, get a desktop replacement, its a term for a laptop thats not light but just as fast as a desktop, like the top end dell laptops those are desktop replacements, they usally weight a good 10 pounds with the batteries

get a Toshiba P30, this is a very powerful machine including P4 3.33 HT, 17 inch widescreen, 100gb hard drive, 1gb of ram dvd+rw and much more. I have one and I am very pleased with it, previously I had a p4 2.8 compaq which sucked

leg4 01-25-2005 05:49 AM

Maddox... that sounds great.... but I already have a 17" widescreen Toshiba.... its a p4 2.8 with a gig of ram... the problem with it.... is the battery life... i need a powerful, but portable system right now that will give me a bare-minimum of 3+ hours on a single batt charge

so if you need a powerful machine go with a toshiba Qosmio G10-105 which has a 2ghz centrino cpu, 17inch screen and 1 gig of ram, dont remember exactly but the battery life time is around 3 hours, is this enough?

I guess IBM will be good!

Der Schleicher 01-28-2005 11:18 AM

Dell would just be fine.

I've got an IBM, and they just won't break down. Great choice, poor value for money though.
