hmm Interesting.. |
humm, I think I'll give it a shot...nothing to loose
Thanks guys :) |
Now this is nothign against CCBill, as I think they do a great job there and can be trusted. I'm just not comfortable with the possibility of getting paid 4 months out. I just like to be paid, and pay my affiliates a bit sooner than that. I realize of course, that it is out of their hands as the phone company has to collect, then pay CCBill, then they pay me, but that's a bit of a stretch for me.

I was thinking the same, if it takes 4 months... well its better then nothing and may bring in more clientel I added it a few hours ago, I'll c how it goes.. Thanks! :thumbsup |
Just keep a close eye on it, i've been using phone billing (with, pardon the expression, iBill) for years and it's a nice revenue option --- but after I added the CCBill recurring phone option, I found that lots and lots of legit phone numbers (including mine) were being rejected by their third-party provider. They've been (supposedly) looking into the problem for days now, but just check to see if it's really working for you and not rejecting lots of possible sales...

The main issue with CCbill 900 is they require to many extra steps before a surfer can make a 900 purchase. The surfer may as well be signing up with a credit card if they have to jump through so many hoops. I think the 900 conversion ratios take a serious dive when a 900 subscriber has to take all those extra steps.

I made 32c the other day with a ccbill dialer signup. :1orglaugh

We have been paid out very LITTLE on it..
They always have excuses about not being paid by the telco, or they cant reconcile the phone records, etc. |
We use the telephone billing option, it takes about 3-4 months to be paid. Had a couple of thousand in sales since we got it. Look at it as money you wouldn't have gotten anyway :2 cents:

I've got 900# billing on most of my sites. If you look at it as extra $$, it's worth it. Just yesterday I got a 900# billing sale. I prob make an extra $100 a wk cause of it.

Sales through telephone billing should be considered the gravy cash you never would of seen if you didn't offer pay by phone
to your surfers. We use GXB for 1-900 subscription billing and the results have been good. The nice thing about GXB is that their link codes also work with Int'l surfers, so the Int'l clicks that happen to click on "pay by phone" don't get sent to a billing solution that only works from the USA. You can also customize each 900 link on a per paysite basis - so the conversions are better. check them out at gxbill.com |
I use CCBill for CCs & Verotel for 900 billing. Too many processors have gone down to just stick all of my billing options in one basket, IMO.

Sure, found money is always good. My gut tells me that I want to put a declined service like http://www.123bill.com before phone billing though. Of course that's just me. |
We used it for a while, but payout delays sucked. Plus a high ratio of the signups ended up not being paid. I prefer to get our money fast, and if they dont have a cred card their are other alternates better than 1900,
such as good ol cash. In my view the long payout time frame and the fact the end user can just refuse to payup after dloading the hell of our sites makes me say no. I also aggree with what some one else said about CCbills actual 1900 join process far to long. |
