Need some info from Voip users
Besides residental users paying comcast $40 a month to escape long distance charges I want to other uses for it and how it works.
Any tech gurus here? |
Portability is an advantage. I can take my VoIP gateway anywhere in the world with a high speed connection and I'll keep my local 514 number.
Also, with my provider (Primus), I can have my primary and/or secondary line in almost any Canadian area code, regardless of where I live. |

If you buy the gateway for $99, you'll save $4 a month. You can also transfer your home phone number to your VoIP line. And you get Air Miles :) |

http://www.dialpad.com/products/ata186.html plug a network cable into it anywhere you are at, plug your phone into it, and call anyone in the country free ? |

Asuna, the quality is great. You can't tell the difference. I've got Videotron Cable, 5.1 mbps, and there's no noticible change in connection speed. |

WTF. You don't get free long distance? You just get to call people in your area code for free even when you are not there, but thats it? I don't travel so I'm just making sure because that wouldn't help me. fusionx- vonage is like http://www.dialpad.com/ only its a monthly fee instead of a per minute fee ? Thanks guys. |
