with the answers he gave there and some time someone could easily get VERY good at the SEO game

14- "read alot" nothing drives google to your site like reading. i just cracked open a decent king and low and behold im all ready flying up the serps.

22-"I get the majority of my traffic from Google although Yahoo converts much better" yep that tidbit surely is going to get most of the noobs here top placement.

25- "Googlebot loves to discover sites through links so make sure you get people to not only link to you" people linking to you eh? boy thats a news flash.

33- "Form linking trades" boohoohhahahah. ya think?

59- "Google doesn't seem to have much relevance based on the domain name anymore." really.... well my biggest supply of traffic to a ton of my 1 word domains is google. some have 0 links to them, and yet google for some reason pipes me a ton of traffic. i guess the google guys like me or something.

read, his traffic comes from google, but yahoo produces better signups, youll need a few people to link to you, youll need a few people to link to you, and google dont care if you own men.com or ineedmenbecouseimintheneedofserpresult.com as long as you... thats right.. get people to link to you.

brand0n, you really need to read deeper into some of the things that were said in that thread....i have been dabbling in SEO for years, and there were some great pointer tips in there for someone who can read between the lines...there were actually a few little secret tips that he said that you can't pick up anywhere else

read between the lines and read it harder, there is a lot of info in there

as for your domain name and google - here is the google results for weed http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=weed where are you?

I know being a TOTAL noob in the SEO world, the information WG put on that thread is golden to me. He also mentioned another place to read more about SEO.

i just did the same searches in google that you posted with VERY different results

and most of those yahoo results are due to proper keywords, linkbacks and tagging...not cause of your domain name

thats why i came to this thread in the 1st place. im trying to learn more.

It seems like it would be pretty helpful to someone totally new at seo brand0n. He gave general information answers that people might not know. You'd be suprised. I've been paying my bills via seo for 7 years now and you can get a little jaded.

I would only read it once if I were new though. Not exactly bookmark worthy. (or blowjob worthy jace :1orglaugh )

your yahoo results ARE nice for sure....

here is the first thing I would do for google, get all your alt tags in place and get more of an SE optimized front page...make sure all the images up on the top of the page have the alt tags filled out

never said it was bookmark worthy, just informative...i learned something new, and that is what matters to me
