Do Fan Signs work?...I've been eyeing the threads and wonder if Fan Signs are a good way for solo sites to get traffic?

They sometimes work. Most of the time you make 100 fansigns and don't get a single hit out of these slackass no traffic hacks. ;)

Regarding the picture resolution, I think it would all depend on the webmasters intent. I personally would prefer a high quality fan sign, however others might prefer cam quality (for the realistic cam girl feel it gives)

Whatever works best for you though, most of us will make use of whatever we get. :thumbsup
