I saved a Chiwawa's life last night....
So i was at a good friends house last night and we are just talking outside ( lives on hills ) and his 2 dogs ( a chiwawa and a golden retriever ) were just wondering around and barking towards the hill....at coyotes
So this chiwawa thinking he's a bad ass and not afraid of anything, starts running up the hill towards the coyotes. I tell my friend "we better keep an eye on them cause there are coyotes out there"...and he says "they'll be alright " ....
so we continue talking and all of a sudden the chiwawa starts the crying noise...we starting running up the hill...and calling for "chico" the chiwawa...couldnt find him....keep calling for him for 10 minutes...but kept hearing his cry on the hills....and then a coyote pops up on the hill with the chiwawa in his mouth, had him from the neck hanging like a rabbit...coyotes just stands there starring at me...i try to climb up the hill but too steep....so i start throwing rocks....to scare them and maybe drop the dog...my friend says " he is gone, they got him...." he is dead....killed....i flipped man....i couldnt believe it....no fucken way....right in front of our eyes....so i start making loud noise and just kept throwing rocks towards the hills...for several minutes....no sign but kept hearing the dogs cry....like he was being eaten...was very sad...we gave up and just stood there with a shock...i continued to strow rocks out of anger...pissed...cussing...and all...no sign...
then all of a sudden, Chico starts rolling down and barely running down the hill....my friend flipped...NO WAY....he got away...he survived the fight....he kept running away from the coyotes down the hill towards us...he got to our feet and we pick him up to see if any blood...none...but bite holes on his neck...shaking so bad...took him home and put him down and he went under the bed hiding...but survived...life saved...but needed to be taken to the vet for rabies and check up....
