you guys should try the 2002 anti-virus, there is a trial, it's a pretty nice improvement from their old stuff.
you also get free 365 day trial of their virus definitions upgrade..

after my huge run in with almost everyform of Nimda. I bought a couple hundred $$ worth of Norton software.

Anti-Virus 2002 definitely kicks ass. It's a lot better than the older version that I had.

Also I now use Norton Firewall 2002. But I think I want more firewalls. I heard some people here use 2 or more firewalls.

Having that Nimda virus sucked ass.

That fucking virus was in every folder, it had attached itself to every html document. It flooded my computer with .eml files, .doc files, .txt files, .log files, and .exe files.

Everytime I restarted, It would almost doubled in size.

No way in hell I would install any of that shit on my system. Even if you offered me money.

rollin 11-10-2001 05:14 PM

redshoe,
i had the same problem (.eml in every directory).
we got all our comps in the office fixed right away though. it is just a patch you run, that i found on the norton website, cleaned it up nicely, but if you have a big hd, it takes forever to clean it up http://bbs.gofuckyourself.net/board/smile.gif

I got Norton 2002 on my system a couple of weeks ago. It's a BEAUTIFUL system, MUCH better than their older versions.

Norton is DEFINATELY the way to go when it comes to virus protection.

Here is an idea.

Stop using microsoft products for your email and stop opening fucking attachments.

norton dosen't bog my system down...

and i did not open an e-mail attachment that contained that virus, someone on my network did i believe, and our lan's shared folders were infected, and then it went on to the computers.

Norton 2002 does really kick ass.
I like it's email scanning, the out going email scan is great. I've a couple of other
virus programs and Norton has already caught stuff they didn't.

As to Norton's Firewall I have it and quit using it along time ago, but I had the personnal version and was on a network. I really do not think Norton Firewall comes close to ZoneAlarm Pro it just did not catch
the stuff ZoneAlarm does.
