30" apple lcd?

anyone got this monitor, was wondering do you think it's worth the high cost?

That monitor needs a special videocard. The mac version the card is almost 600$ and a PC version is closer to 1000$. So it is quite an expensive monitor at the moment..

A friend of mine has two of those hooked up to a G5 box, and it pretty much blows according to him. Due to the combined width you end up using only the left and right sections of the monitors. Go with a dual 20" setup instead of one 30".

The 23" is not bad either.. And is capable of running on any videocard with DVI..

It is mighty nice and its quality is astonishing. However, it's just too big for my taste. Not to mention, as it's already been said, it requires a special nvidia gfx card, which costs a good extra amount of cash.

He's a big fan of new cool gadgets and has some spare money laying around.

Monitors

We use the 30" Mac monitors in the office, so far no problems but we have only had them 4 weeks.
