how much would you pay a person to...?

I need to have some promo clips chopped up for a relaunch of a site. The content is already produced and ready to go. All this person would have to do is mark out 15 seconds on a time line and render a new 15 promo clip.

I want 12 promo clips per sex scene. And I have about 30 scenes.

How much would you pay PER PROMO CLIP?
And please I'm not looking for people to tell me, "Hit me up" or "ICQ me", I'm just looking for a prices (hi and lo) so I know what the going rate is.

Thanks.
All that reply with the answer I'm looking for will be rewarded handsomely.

It would prolly be faster to do it yourself than getting the files to the person.

Nicky 01-22-2005 11:50 PM

$0,50 a clip?

Relish XXX 01-22-2005 11:50 PM

$20 per scene as they can be doing it in the background while doing other work.

That is just a guess.

r3ap3r 01-22-2005 11:50 PM

I don't know what the going rate is but here's a bump.

Yeah I guess If I were using technology available to the average person. Getting the footage to the person is not the problem.

I just need to know how much per clip once they have the footage.

So far I see from $.50 to $.60

baddog 01-22-2005 11:58 PM

my person is in bed by now, can it wait until morning?

MBS Auto 01-23-2005 12:02 AM

250 for the whole project sounds fine

wyldblyss 01-23-2005 12:06 AM

The 50-60 cents sounds about right. It is easy to do...and the person would end up with about $180 to $200 bucks for the entire job.

DWB 01-23-2005 12:15 PM

AVI MPEG ASF WMV Splitter

It's free and will do what you want in a few seconds per clip. You can mark it to split at any time, or chop into equal parts. Someone here told me about it, now I can't live without it. :thumbsup

You're friends of baddog so I'll go easy...
Although I appreciate the offer, I am not looking for someone at the moment, I was just looking for prices. The guy I use is the best in his field. He doesn't use anything mentioned in this thread he only uses hi profile shit and does each one by hand. He doesn't just mass promo clip the shit. He is all about quality. And that sometimes means adjusting settings with every other scene. Yes, he's that disciplined. I doubt anyone in this industry is as into it as he is.

I just needed to know what the going rate is so we have an idea on how much his work is worth. Frankly I'd pay what he asks, but he wants to be fair to everyone involved. So I told him I'd ask what the going rates were.

50 to 60 cents per clip is the going rate and he seems fine with that.

Ah. I misunderstood what you wanted. :winkwink:

I thought you were looking to outsource some overflow of work. My bad.

Anyhow yeah .50 - 1.00 seems fair for this type of work.
