Houses and the cars parked in their driveway
 

Does anyone else get amused when they pass a $100k house with $50k cars in the drive way or when you pass a $300k house with $8k cars in the driveway?

People are strange.

ummm... 100k and 300k houses? do those still really exist?

very little goes for under 550k around here... and the dude across the street has the most blinged out H2 i have ever seen...

so i guess it fits in our neck of the woods... LOL

I read the average house is $262k now so you guys are living it up a bit :thumbsup

Some people are car people, some aren't. I know very wealthy people that drive quite old generic cars, whereas i know people with less money who drive flashy cars.

All depends on your tastes

I can also say that I can't find a $100k house around here.

The people with the $100k houses are the same people who take out a home equity loan just to buy a blinged out BMW.

They're the same people who struggle just to make a living, and blame it on the economy, when it's their own spending habit faults.

They're the same people who have three children, unemployed, and lay down $3000 to pay for chrome wheels on a '94 Mustang (true story, read it in Wall Street Journal a few months ago).

This site has some interesting comparison stats. I always knew indianapolis had the worst fucking water on earth.

I dated a guy who owned trailers that he rented out weekly. He always laughed that his renters drove nicer cars than he did :)
