"The Forgotten" movie was HORRIBLE (spoilers)

I saw the trailers for "The Forgotten" and it looked decent, so I figured that I'd go out and pick it up. That was a waste of money because the movie is fucking stupid. It started out ok, then it dragged, then it got down towards the plot of the movie which involved aliens and how they're studying the bond of a mother and her child, how fucking retarded is that.

They make the movie seem realistic, then they throw in an alien agent that's like the terminator and gets shot and keeps going, then a couple of people just get sucked up into the sky, I was like WTF is this crap.

I suggest that all of you stay far away from this movie, it makes "The Village" look good, ha ha ha.

Yeah saw it at the theatres was very disappointed.

I might have to waste my time watching it if i know its that bad.

The first half was decent... But the ending was total shit.

DX 01-21-2005 10:09 PM

it was great.. so was the village.

I loved that movie, I'm sorry. Especially when they got sucked away.

Yep, there wasn't much there. The trailers made it look much cooler than it actually was. I kinda liked it until the revealed the baddie. Stupid conclusion.

goBigtime 01-21-2005 10:48 PM

The Village was great.... in todays corporate rules society it would be completely possible to do what they did without anyone being the wiser.

I'm still sort of tripped out by that one.

That ending twist reminds me of an (early) Steven King novel or something.

The movie SAW was pretty good too.

Almost all trailers are better than the movies itself.

the ending really sucked. I thought "the village" was alright thou.

Holly 01-22-2005 11:44 AM

A bit off topic here, but I watched The Ring last night for the first time and was horribly disappointed. I thought it was supposed to be one of the best horror flicks of all time, but I thought it sucked. Wasn't even scary. :(

I think I was expecting too much from all the hype I had heard.

BVF 01-22-2005 11:47 AM

yeah Forgotten was kind of stupid. The village was kind of stupid also but the concept was good. He had those people completely fooled.

sicktwistedmedia 01-22-2005 11:53 AM

Forgotten was disappointing, but the way they just ripped people through the roof into the sky...that was pretty badass. Also, The Village was far better than Signs. It had all this built up suspense, and then actually went somewhere with it. M. Night Shyamalan has a very anticlimactic style that pisses me off, but The Village was good.

And now that I think about it, it does have the feel of older Stephen King.
