Paysite owners, how to protect content?

I want to move all my content to one server (pics and movies)
Then I want to allow only members from my different paysites (domains) to be able to access and download the content!

With picture content its easy only hot linking protection is enough, but how about movies? How do I protect them?

Well if they are in the members area behind htaccess then your protected to only members downloading the vids, but if you want to go another step you can add in cookies to be used thru htaccess and also you can hide your videos folder and use custom script to link to the videos. This way you can move the folder if need be and not have it accessable thru the web, throw it behind your root folder. It all depends how far you want to go with security, and what type of OS your running on your server.

Password protection
use .httaccess or other scripts to limit entrance to IP, i take it you have the IPs of all your members so block everyones IPs but theirs

DRM for videos

give away special optical lens glasses to all your subscribers and encode your videos to only be seen through those lenses. :2 cents:

are your paysites on one server. and is your member content on another server? at a different company, perhaps?

You could setup a streaming type, then just protect your movies that way

How do you use IP? AOL members will get fucked, anybody behind a proxy would be fucked.

IP authentication is probably the worse for a members area. Just my :2 cents: tho..
