Making money with bulletin boards
 

Anyone here run a BB and make money from it? How do you make money? (signups, banners, emails, etc.)?

all the advertisements on bulletin boards are just there as part of the design.

Adult consumer boards would make money from webmasters buying paysite banners or surfers clicking on links of "girls" you have posting.

I have a portugues adult board and I make money by selling the ads or using sponsors. It's not easy to convert that traffic, portuguese and all, but some sites do ok.

I knew a guy at Sitepoint.com has Vbulletin 2. something baseball caard board set up with an Ebay hack where he makes money off them buying baseball cards off ebay. I'm sure that if you have a mainstream board, you could hack the board and stuff it with affiliate links. If its a porn board, maybe you could do the same thing.
