of course

aaron 01-21-2005 07:16 PM

kinds of yeah. i just have these 20 other blogs and i want to make a site that feeds off them and links to them and such by having each latest post from each of the blogs as the entries on my page. like on live journal you can look at someones friends and it shows all the entries the friends made starting with the latest post

aaron 01-21-2005 11:05 PM

bump :upsidedow

You should be able to do this with your template. Just cutomize it a little to include your links on the top, right, left, bottom of the pages.

aaron 01-21-2005 11:24 PM

i cant tell if you dont understand or if i dont understand you :helpme

Maybe your not understanding. In Blogger, you can customize your template. Just add your links into the template.

aaron 01-21-2005 11:46 PM

i know that im not asking about adding links i want to feed other blogs in to one site

e32o 01-21-2005 11:49 PM

you want to post to multi blogs with one submission?

aaron 01-21-2005 11:53 PM

no look at this friends page from a random livejournal user

http://www.livejournal.com/users/delayedgrace/friends

e32o 01-21-2005 11:57 PM

Ya you wont be able to do that with blogger. You might need something like moveabletype and maybe you might be able to do this with their trackback feature.

aaron 01-22-2005 12:09 AM

movabletype that sounds familiar thanks

I'm no blog expert but are you talking about syndication?

If so first configure the feed urls from each blog how you want and then add them to your template.

You hub blog will not have any posts itself right so you can make the feed template big.

aaron 01-22-2005 12:16 AM

ok but tehre is no way to add them it seems on blogger.com i guess need to install my own script to do it

There is but I can't find the link, there was one site that let you choose a number of feeds or add your own and it would generate the code for ya. I will look for it....
:winkwink:

aaron 01-22-2005 12:22 AM

thanks ozman

Except you could also specify your own feed urls instead of choosing theirs, maybe you can on there I just didn't look hard enough.

OzMan 01-22-2005 12:38 AM

Actually...lol I think I finally understand now after looking at the Live Journal friends page. Rather than a feed which is a shortened version of the last few posts, you want the whole post to appear on your hub as a post each time one of the spoke blogs makes a post. ....not sure about that one but I reckon it's definitely possible

aaron 01-22-2005 01:56 AM

hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

BlueQuartz 01-22-2005 03:35 AM

feed demon

inthestars 01-22-2005 03:59 AM

I found a javascript that does it.

Blogger uses atom.xml put all the RSS feeds into one page. Then have your script parse it into your hub. Im not sure if blogger will allow the hub to be in the blogger/blogspot network though. You may have to run it off your site.

Anyway, speaking of blogs, try our traffic blog at
