I have a date in 3 hours and I feel like cancelling
 

I always say no or make up an excuse when I get asked out but something drove me to agree on this one. I'm actually getting very nervous. Isn't being on the dating scene supposed to be fun? :Oh crap

I'm not so sure I want "the one" quite yet. I'm kind of enjoying my routine and doing whatever I want with no sort of obligations. I don't really want anyone calling me or stopping by or expecting anything from me. God I do sound like a guy.

I hope the guy doesn't end up being a big loser and I have to end something that isn't going to even start. I don't know why this just seems like a big hassle.

sounds to me like you're scared and you're thinking of excuses. just go out and do it, you probably need the practice. it will be fun if you make it fun, and cut the date short if you like her or not though.

Is this a 1rst date type thing? If it is and you don't have anything planned take her to braums and get some icecream or something like that. If its not going good you can bail out quick and easy.

Well I'm leaving :-/ I'm at least meeting him there rather than him picking me up. That way he doesn't know where I live... and I have a back up plan on bailing early. My girlfriend knows to call me exactly 5 minutes later if I call her and hang up. Then I'll do the big "Oh my God I'm on my way" routine :)

I'll come back with a full report.

What's making me the most nervous is I've never had sushi. So that will be a first for me. He knows I don't really do seafood but begged me to try. So either this is his spontaneous encouraging nature or he's a controlling asshole. We will see.

Why is that bad??? Well we talked a couple times since and each time we both agreed it was the best time ever... We were dying to meet tonight but he had to go back to the hospital... some guy needed a lung scan.
