It's a SLK, with a complete conversion to a SL 500 look. Gonna buy the SLK 32 (350hp) and this conversion kit. Would be 28k (euro) for the SLK and additional 9k for the conversion. It's not that cheap, but still ~20k cheaper than a regular SL 500.

BTW, I testdrove a BMW and a merc, and the BMW killed the Merc. Try a 645. Not sure what price league tho.

Hard to say. Of course a SL 500 looks really cool. And if I had to choose between a regular SLK 32 and a SL 500 - I would take the SL, no question. But this conversion is something special, nodody has such a car (expect the guy who build this one) - and it's faster + cheaper than a SL 500, so why not.
Of course if money wouldn't play a role I would buy a SL 65 - but currently I'm not making enough to effort an 200k car :>

@killing - I think that's personal taste. Both companies are building superb cars. If you just look at the hp's and nm - Mercedes would be the winner.
E.g. SL 65 vs. BMW M5, but doesn't have ultra strong cars. But who cares about hp, when you have already 500 (vs. 612 in the SL) - that's just a difference of a hundredth. The rest is personal taste.
Currently I have a BMW 316i - a great car, not much hp, but still a great car. I love both companies and the 645 is one of the best designed cars ever:

I don't know a company which is doing this conversion regularly. This one was done by a single person (that's why it takes 4-6 weeks) - he's a professional carriage engineer. It's not really a kit, mainly you just stretch the hood into the required position.

Yeah that might be true. But in the car forum, where I found this pic, many ppl were highly interested. You can't resell such a car in the regular way, you need to find a maniac like yourself, who's willing to pay the extra 9k for the car.

Yeah heard this sentence more than just once. I'm not sure why a "regular" SLK 32 is a car for girls. I mean it has 350hp, so what qualifies this car to a "girl car" ?

The thing is, that I really want to buy a car this year before summer. Sucks to work all the time and don't have a possibility to spend the money.
If I wanted to buy an SL 500, I had to wait 7-8 months. That's too long :/
