because revshare makes more money in the longrun with exclusive content.We plan on adding PPS in the future but right now our focus is on keeping surfers happy and retention high.The average sale has been rebilling 4 months :)

Understandeably so. From my experience it usually works like this.

pps: more money for the affiliate to reinvest
rev: more money for the program owner to reinvest.

The money you make is usually actually less, because a rev share program cares more about retention so they probably dont push the upsells as much.

Thats just generally speaking, it all depends on the sponsor. But a pps program is more likely to be pushing upsells then a revshare on an average spectrum.

thats a very interesting way of looking at it.I perfer not to bombard the surfer with upsells but would rather give them a simple interface to find exactly what they came for and deliver a good quality product

It's all about the benjamins in the end. Upsell's make your business more profitable. But if avoiding annoyances is part of your business plan then more power to ya. Ill check your sites out.

The thing is that most of the retention comes from people who forget to cancel shit on their credit card. I mean how many lazy americans actually check their fucking credit card statement? Most of them are not even paying the shit on time. I dont know any actual numbers, but im willing to bet that a high % of retention comes from just that. So in that aspect if you have a "horny shopper" it should be part of your business plan to monetize that traffic as quickly as possible.
