Christmas holidays...do surfers spend more money or are their cards maxxed out?

... over the past 4 years I have expirienced a 40% drop in traffic ... but made more sales than with normal traffic.

It's all in the way you market -- put up some holiday graphics on your pages and suggest to your surfers that they either

a. buy a membership for a friend -- you can push programs that have say three month non recurring options.

b. buy a present for themselves!

Toys and other merchandise is also fantastic to push at Christmas -- suggest to your male surfers that they buy their wives a gift that keeps on giving...

Actually, the web has more down than up. All national holidays, traffic & sales are down. From June thru early Oct, traffic & sales are down, December thru mid-February, traffic & sales are down, and sales drop a week or two before April 15 (Tax Day) and for several weeks afterward. As you can see, we should be talking about when activity is up, not down.

Umm so when is it up? A lot of people seem to be claiming that traffic will be up for the winter because more people will be indoors... I think this is probably true...

the rest of the year is quite good.

Contrary to popular belief, there are people that excel during these so called slow times.

Of course they are probably the ones that market to their traffic instead of giving it tons of free stuff.
