I quit smoking, yet now I am sick with a flu.

This is why I have always advocated that nothing good comes out of quitting an addiction!

An addiction is your bodies way of telling you that it needs something. A lot of something.

Crap.

Geez you're a loser.

Don't give up Cory!

The flu is going around. Get some rest.

Congrats.

What is your next show?

We need to have a wild night with the non-smoking crowd.

For one week, I chewed a couple pieces of that gum to sooth the fits.

My barrier has always been being in a bar and drinking. I finally found what I feel to be a solution.

When you drink, you tend to get irrational about certain things. I just kept telling myself as we were in the bar that "smoking is disgusting."

It worked. When you get buzzed, you have convinced yourself that it is disgusting.

Strange, I know. But I also padded myself with one week of smokelessness before attending prayer at the bar.

You go to an office?

What is your weekend lifestyle like?

I would suggest starting on a Sunday. :2 cents:

Ok, let me get this straight, we'll both be topless and spanking each other? What happens if you officially do quit for the forum?? :winkwink:

A friend of mine once told me never quit smoking when you have a cold. It will make it worse. She said when she quit smoking, one of many times, she got a little congested so she went to the doctor and he said that sometimes the lungs will produce flem when you quit smoking.

Hold fast baby!!! Smelling like cigarette smoke is very un-metro!!! :1orglaugh

Even though I have been known to smoke a cig or two when I consume a few cocktails, it is still disgusting and I never do it in my house or car or anything else for that matter!!! YUCKY!!!

What your friend said is true. Thing is, this is a deep bronchial issue. I am coughing harshly now.

Add on the fact that I played ball and worked out for the first time since my hand break, leaving me sore, and the situation is bad.

BTW, I am planning to work out a lot before Phoenix so that my skinny frame is no longer a problem for you and Vanilla.

I am very thoughtful.

I have always despised the taste in my mouth when I smoke.

But, smoking after "intercourse" is such a fantastic thing.

Cory W 01-19-2005 11:12 PM

For the record I was talking about "intercourse" with a female.

Every smoker tells me this. I guess it is a must for smokers, because they all do it. lol

When I quit smoking, MANY MOONS AGO, it seemed like EVERY illness going around hit me hard for the first month or two, but after that I felt great! A friend of mine told me that when you take away something that your body is addicted to, your metabolism/immune system kinda goes into shock. If you stick it out, you'll feel much better soon. :thumbsup

My dad has COPD (chronic obstructive pulminary disease) from smoking, and I GUARANTEE if you met him, you'd never wanna smoke again.

Many people need to see others with diseases that come with smoking for them to see the light. I saw a lady with emphazema, i couldn't believ it.

Emphezema (or however you spell it) and COPD are in the same family, but COPD is much worse. He has to sleep with his upper body elevated, so he doesn't drown in his sleep. It's very similar to Congestive Heart Failure, which they think he has as well. :warning

Damn man, that sucks. :(

Best of wishes to your father and family.

J$tyle$ 01-20-2005 12:07 AM

Feel better, Cory - smoking sucks!

The 22nd will be 8 months smoke free for me! :)

Best thing I ever quit other than my relationship with the last lunatic bitch I lived with :winkwink:

Cory W 01-20-2005 11:06 AM

I have bronchitis officially.

Got very little sleep last night.
