I am getting some shitty conversions on reality porn now. I noticed it last month but they are off the hook bad now. I know my traffic sucks. I suck. yep I have heard that before. Anyone else noticing their big dog site is off a bit now?

Actualy alot of the reality sites are too turnkey and just not entertaining. The shock value has also gone down.

I know the ARS reality sites converted terrible for me and everyone i know when they first came out, but I wasn't sending a whole lot of traffic... but i've heard a couple people do good with reality stuff.

I've never really pushed the whole "reality" theme though I do send traffic to "reality" sites. Sell good porn, who cares about the cheesey themes. Fucking is fucking, very few of the "reality" sites even have any promise of being probable.

Dec was a good month for porn this month i have seen a slight decrease in sales from porn.

Sales are strong. More surfers etc. I just noticed that reality has really cooled. I push reality shit hard. I do not want to shit on a program as I push several and most of them have cooled. ND is about the same but their stuff is so old it is new. But the newer stuff is just dead in the water for me. Specific sites are ok. Mr chews, some APC sites but a real chill to the whole effect.

I hope you dont use the same template more than 1-2 months and then come here and complain. :)

I think rates are higher around christmas since some people who dont have a computer get one as a gift.....then there is the idea that people have extra cash from receiving prepaid giftcards and want to check out the sites....my theory is that holidays in general make people really horny.

That's the crux of it...very insightful. When you look at a site like Bangbus, the 'theme' is actually parapheral. Focus remains on the porn and when they drive away at the end leaving the chick in the dust, it's like the icing on the cake. Sort of a humouress ending to the solid action that immediately preceeded it.

The format is actually identical to the good standard POV porn. They talk to a chick, ask some interesting questions about her that the viewer might find enjoyable and funny, and then get right into the porn. Then the scene ends abruptly after everybody gets off. End of story.

january has been slow for me with reality sites, but honestly the turn of the year is always slow for me so i cant really judge.

the hype is over, but there is still a shitload of money there and there are some great converting reality sites

if you want more stable ratios, change your template as often as possible, the best is to use different template each month, unique template

Reality sites are nothing more than exclusive video sites. The first and
true reality type site was BangBus.com.. Collegefuckfest was not far
behind. However if you look at the Video market most Companies that
do well use Hot girls, Decent Guys and get personal type interviews
with good sex scenes. Before TCG got it half way right we made the same
mistakes I see some of the other programs doing right now. Butt Ugly Girls,
Guys with 2 inch cocks and stupid themes. WHo cares about the theme
if its not halfway realistic. Thats why we decided against doing themes if
it didnt work. Example, Mrchews consistently kicks butt however we didnt
try to call it Chinese Laundry Girls.com because it wouldnt have worked.

AVN Video show had the largest number of exhibitors this
year ever. I think over 300 exhibitors. Do you think that means market is
dying. NO! The market is getting stonger for good content and will continue
to grow.



I often see programs come out with new sites they call reality.
Reality is not DVD rips. Reality is a way over used term for
exclusive video content. Even Pipecrew bashed one of TCG sites early
on and with justification because it was DVD rips.

Anyone can buy DVDs rip them up and come out with 10 new sites and say
"check our the latest reality sites", and whats funny is watching the kiss ass
on the boards say,, Thumbs up looks great. Give me a break 98% look like
dogmeat. I even noticed some sites that higher thai hookers or panamian hookers.

Do you think any video company could use such crap content and sell it to
the video consumer.. NO WAY.

Reality type production decreased most definatly.

I'm not saying that it's dead either. It's still a hot market no matter what anyone says. It's the production, it's gotta try to make the surfer believe. It's just an easy thing to do now. It used to take a while to produce reality because of the directing and acting. Now everyone is in a rush to produce it and get it out there...that they don't take the time to film it right.

There does seem to be a tendency to label sites a "reality site" when it's actually scenario based sites...Reality to me at least means that you shoot stuff that's not contrived and forced...there needs to be real emotion...real drama...

I think there's still a market out there for that..
