is that the final decision? Last i heard that Montreal, Minnesota and Florida were the candidates to get cut but they didnt deceide on which 2 to let go?

TSN is reporting with great confidence that the 2 teams will be Expos and Twins.

Good riddance to the Expos I.M.O. they haven't made money in years. My canuck tax payer dollars have been going to bail that team out for a while. LOL!!

I hate to say it but all sports teams in Montreal except for maybe the Alouettes have lost money. I think the only reason the Alouettes have made money is because they have moved to downtown Montreal.

Twins have a good market. Just shitty Stadium.

They did 1.5 million ticket sales last year, and could do 2 million if they are contenders next year.

They are also the first American league Team ever to reach 3 million in ticket sales in a given year.

The market is there.. Unlike the Expos and Marlins.

Actually the Marlins do have the market. The problem they have is the fucked up lease at pro player stadium.
Dombrowski said that they could draw 3 million fans next year and win the world series and they'd still lose money if they spent the payroll $$ to keep the current team intact.
All they need is a new stadium, but after Sept 11 all of that stuff got put on the back burner.
Nobody draws fans when the team is losing 100 games a year, or when the stadium doesn't have a roof and it rains every other day in south FLA.
Give my boys a dome or a retractable roof and we've got a winner.

Minnesota has voted against anything for the Twins 3 times now, and this thing in Montreal has been going on forever.
