trance and techno? neither of those are techno though...?

as far as trance, i would have to say paul van dyke, but i don't listen to much trance anymore....reminds me too much of listening to the radio

as far as techno though, i would say Carl Cox for sure

I have seen Picotto DJ about 5 times in the last year, his sets bore me now. His sets just sound so repetitive now. Pity because he used to be one of my faves.

You can never go wrong with Carl Cox. He always impresses.

On the trance side, Tiesto, Van Burren, they are still the top ones for me.

Mauros Picotto? Ya i just downloaded some of his songs, he seems to be good.

Yeah, some of his productions are amazing, no doubt. But it's his sets in general that do nothing for me now.


His album "The Others" is really good. That's his best work...

actually, thanks for the love and the props. i am not a trance dj. actually at one time, i was one of the biggest trance djs in san diego, but by a long shot no where near the level of international exposure that these guys are.

now i am whats called a big room dj. big rockin sweaty parties that hold 1500-2000 people.

i have some dope trance mixes from back in the day when i was a trance dj that i can post for people if they like.

tiesto is the top dog now. oakie is not what he used to be, but still kills it. sasha and digweed still hang in there too. hernan caetano is also a southamerican wonder signed to the perfecto label by oakie a few years back.

Now Richie Hawtin's minimal techno ... oh, fah-get-about-it. (It's what acid flash-backs are made of.) How can you not like a Canadian guy that has a club in an old bank, and does (or at the least used to) a shit load of acid.

As for trance ... what type?
Progressive .. yah, the over played Mario P is ok -- I would rather see and hear Nick Taylor.
GOA trance is my fav overall.
