Best way to lose some fat and build some fast muscle?

I'm a fat ass webmaster who is big boned and pretty solid, but have beer guts. I tried diets and they suck, so I'm gonna lift some weights and try to approach it a diff way.

Can anyone recommend some good supplements that give you lots of energy and build muscle quick, perhaps drop the fat too?

Got some weights Im gonna start using and thought about getting a treadmill to get rid of the excess flab. Lifes a bitch for the body when you sit on your ass all day :(

Any ideas to get the muscle going quick without steroids?

Skip the supplements... Get a Bowflex, do at least 30 mins of cardio a day, and you will lose weight quickly, especially because you're a male (I assume)... you naturally have more lean muscle mass.

Protein and creatine. Research and find a bodybuilding routine online. The muscle you build will use more calories than fat.

Read articles and books on nutritional timing. I read this ..

i wouldnt go for anything "fast". its not that easy. just start lifting weights and doing cardio. reduce your calorie intake to less than your body burns off and you will lose weight.

Sedentary people who aren?t currently on a regular exercise fitness program should see a physician, get a dietitian and a personal trainer for the first month for their new health regimen then they can if there actually doing it right.

Don't know if that's necessary.. I switched off of anything fast food, anything fried period and threw all my fatty foods out and switched to baked and healthy (meaning if there is butter or grease I dont touch it) and I ran at the gym for an hour a day every other day since last year and I lost 100lbs that easy now I feel young again :thumbsup it's all about the fuckin cardio!

how about you just accept the way you are. I used to be the super athletic type, and recently my body has been going to hell ( I lost my six pack, and I have a little gut). I realised I ain't gonna stop eating the food I like and depriving myself of things I enjoy. Plus I'm too lazy to maintain a constant workout. So whatever happens happens, I really don't care anymore
