A friend of mine. He celebrates his birthday every March 1 though if it's not a leap year.

Awesome, heres what I was wondering:

Suppose he went out and committed a heinous crime and had a great lawyer, could there be a possibility that his defense could be that he is a minor?

nope I believe that legally they count your birthday as the next day if you are on leap year.
