WARNING! Microsoft AntiSpyware Alert!

Warning, MidAddle Adware is trying to Install!

I get this warning about every five minutes and it takes time to remove everytime. Anyone else have this problem?

no - because I dont use MS Antispyware, it sucks! It finds about 60% of what other commercial (and sometimes free) anti-spyware software finds. I wouldn't trust it at all.

Got this from sophos.com

Troj/Midaddle-C is a downloader Trojan for the Windows platform related to the MidAddle adware.
When executed Troj/Midaddle-C attempts to update MidAddle adware applications by downloading files from the following locations:
http://www.midaddle.com/config/update.xml
http://www.yellow-sticky.com/reload/clicks.dll
http://www.yellow-sticky.com/reload/clicksversion.txt
In order to be able to run automatically when Windows starts up Troj/Midaddle-C adds a new entry to the following registry key:
HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run \
with the path ot the current file.
Also Troj/Midaddle-C sets the registry entries:
HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main\Updater
HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main\Enable Browser Extensions
The adware software installed by Troj/Midaddle-C can typically be uninstalled via the Add or Remove Programs dialog in the Windows Control Panel (Start ->Settings -> Control Panel -> Add/Remove Programs) by selecting the 'midADdle' entry.

Hope that helps

WRONG!

I used Ad aware on a friends computer that had a bad spyware problem. It found just under 500 files. I then scanned using Microsft Anti-Spyware and it found nearlty 5000. Hmmmmmmm. Also Microsoft has REAL TIME protection while the FREE version of ad-aware can only scan when you ask it too which by then spyware may have gotten on your computer.

Use whatever you want I'm quite sastified with Microsft's anti-spyware.

I'm not saying this from personal experience, just all the tech forums and articles/reviews done on it in the last month.. if it works for you then great! All I'm saying is that of many people that have tested it, it just doesnt detect as many spyware issues.
