Just a few snippets to keep you guys in the picture with mobile technology development - some useful, some lucrative, some crazy...

- Wap in Jaw. NTT Japan have been working on a mobile phone that can fit in your tooth/jaw and operates by sensing your jaw movements. Means you can talk silently on the subway - as if it isn't weird enough seeing strangers talking to themselves now we'll all believe we've got wax in our ears....

- HyperTag - BabeCell's been speaking with these guys for some time. Love their technology. An InfraRed receiver can be placed anywhere - behind posters, worn on the body or on in bars/clubs. Consumers just point their mobile at the device and download content, tickets, marketing....the birth of adult content 'vending' for your phone??

- Mobile barcodes/coupons. Been around a while now in Europe but still struggling to take off. But seeing a barcode on your phone that can be scanned in is always pretty cool, gets me everytime I see it scanned from my Cell - and I like the idea of walking into Walmart and swiping my phone to get free stuff...hope to see it in Hustler Hollywood stores soon!

- Location tracking. Not yet widley available in the US to you and I but tracking the location of mobile phones (down to 100M in cities) is a big biz in the UK. All you need is the cell phone number and triangulation takes care of the rest. Find-an-Escort? Yeah - been done here now by some smart entrepreneur - but for me it comes in very handy when staff claim they're at home sick in bed....where's that pink slip??

What's also interesting, which some of you may have seen at Internext (Via the Netpond guys) is a new product designed specificalyl for adult, called MobilePainter.

Esentially, it sends images to cell phones - but it also allows the surfers to resize, crop, add text & images etc to the image.

We created it specifically for sponsors & people running sites - there's no signup cost, you just take 50% of the *gross* payout per image sent.

All you need to do is link an image via a simple HTML code, and you're sorted. It's the perfect upsell for member's areas etc.

We're at the final stages now, we're jsut sorting out the billing for global coverage, and then we'll be live.

There have been a few (and there*are* a few) products of a similar nature (ie, image > phone) but they all seem to have limiting factors-
-> They're not built for the adult industry (Ie, you won't be able to send XXX)
(We've got billing alternatives for the USA to allow the sending of XXX)

-> They're painful to integrate, and expensive to setup
(We eliminate the high 'buy in' that these sites have.. you sign up, you use the linknig codes to link what you want, and collect the checks. That simple)

-> They don't have the reputation.

I've also got a client with immediately ready delivery and billing, in the US and otherwise, that does integrated mobile content delivery and audiotext options. One of the larger programs will be launching their branded version of the product shortly and I'm sure the owner will be more than happy to talk about the various options available for affiliates with this system.

Anyone else looking for a ready to roll, no hassle to integrate situation, let me know :)
