Norton Live Update error - anyone ?

Since a few weeks when I run Live Update with my Norton Internet Security ( 2003 ) - most of the updates ( including virus definitions and security updates ) aren't downloaded and I get this error:

LU1845 - this update was aborted during its preprocessing step.

what can be the reason for this? :Oh crap

Sosa 01-18-2005 08:49 AM

because norton fucking sucks.

Its a known problem. You need to uninstall and then re-install and you can get this info from the Norton site.

What's the issue?

Is it somehow connected with SP2 ?

edited: why does some ppl experience it and others not?

Just think that its a live update issue with some 2003 versions if I remember correctly

half the time norton doesn't uninstall cleanly. If you do that, hopefully it goes ok.
