Well Summerlin is safe and has a good view if you are close to the mountains,
you won't see much under $500,000 worth looking at.

but if you mean land as in a few acres to run the horses around you would have to go waaaay northwest probably in an older area. :)

You could check out the Southwest as well...I am on an acre all horse property where I am at nice too. 600 and up though for anything decent because of the lot sizes. Good area though Penn from penn and teller lives in the neighborhood.

Hmm. Figure in the $300-400k range. I can afford a bit more, but I also need to live. 'land' would be an acre, maybe 1.5.

thanks for the comments so far....

realtor.com is a great tool

I'm way out in southeast Henderson and love it...no crime, less pollution, horse properties nearby, about 10 minutes from Lake Las Vegas

you can still get a decent place in the area for in the 275K-300K range on up to the $750K-1 million range several blocks away

Yes, scrap the land. Land here is extremely valuable.

You may find something you like in Desert Shores. Nice, quiet area with 4 lakes.

I used to live in Southern Highlands.. You wont beat the area anywhere in Vegas itself.
