** Watch Out ** Cleverly disguised new PayPal phishing scheme!

A new phishing attempt is circulating using PayPal and duplicating the entire process perfectly indicating you just received a PayPal payment from someone. But when you click it you're actually going to be in a bogus PayPal site.

Heads Up!!!

That's why it's VERY important to never reveal the PayPal password to your spouse! Or any other financial institution for that matter ;-) Seriously, my girlfriend knows she could easily fall for these emails, so we decided that I will memorize all the passwords and in addition to that we should keep a list of all the passwords in the bank's safe. This way she can never help hackers get us!

TheMob 01-17-2005 11:11 PM

foolio 01-18-2005 12:33 AM

I never click on those links anyways so its all good

Aractor 01-18-2005 12:34 AM

If the paypal email doesn't great you with the name you have registered with them, then it's a dead giveaway that it's fake. Too bad people don't learn from the last round of paypal scam letters...

Yeah, just think, if they put as much energy into Medical school or Engineering school they could be making more money legally than they are ripping people off and having to constantly look over their shoulder.
