So 98.2% of internet users have Flash...
Taken from: http://www.macromedia.com/software/p...s/flashplayer/
Is the 1.8% loss worth dabbling with flash layouts? (or flash/html mixed) I'd say probably so. If it were designed in flash very well (conservative file size but also rich unique animation relevant to the site's content), I think it could only help boost ratios. Anyone have experience testing this? Mainstream or adult. |
always use a graphical replacement if the user doesnt have flash.. normally even with that, it will only come up if they dont support activex or netscape plugins, otherwise the installer prompt will be displayed for flash
|
We use alot of Flash for all mainstream projects, and its working good ! I don't know why the adult biz dont use flash that much !

flash is ok just make sure your sites load fast

It's probably a bit more difficult in adult although not much. And a lot of adult webmasters seem to be oldschool in nature and opposed to flash. I think it's only a matter of time. |
If the user's computer is so old it can't see Flash then they probably can't afford a new and upgraded one. If they can't afford a new computer then they can't afford a membership to a site.
If they can't afford a membership then fuck em. |
