I started having truly bizarre dreams...

I usually don't remember my dreams, never have. I sleep pretty light, maybe that has something to do with it. But recently I've been waking up and remembering the most bizarre dreams. Sometimes really horrible things and other times, unrealistic bizarre totally off the wall things.

The other night I had a dream that I was leaving for Australia on vacation today. When I woke up I started to cancel appointments and such for this week. It took a minute or two to realize I only had a dream. I felt like such an idiot but everything felt so real.

My dream last night I don't even want to repeat its so nuts.

Anyone experience anything like this before? Its really weird and I have no idea why I'm suddenly remembering everything.

I usually never remember what I've dreamt, now in the last week I've dreamt twice. Both very personal and unpleasent. :(

candyflip 01-17-2005 12:18 PM

I have completely stopped dreaming as of late. Not sure what's up with that.

KittyLix 01-17-2005 12:18 PM

ugh, i know what ya mean I never really remember dreams unless they are truly fucked up, one of the really messed up ones was when i dreamt about being home with my family and seeing my brother working under the hood of his truck and me running up and shoving a screwdriver through his neck :( fucking scary :helpme

I have had very bizzare colorful dreams all my life. I even remember nightmares from when I was maybe 3-5 in great detail.. all the way up to the dreams and nightmares ive had the last few years. One of the recent crazy dreams ive had, I was walkin through a very very small house/apt and I saw a mirror on a wall. I looked on the other side of the wall where the mirror was and nothin was there but there was somethin about the mirror. I started starring into the mirror and my face started turning green (like reptile off of mortal kombat) and started comin out of the mirror till it was about an inch from me.

Ive had thousands of dreams like this. Not all bad, some are great. Some are just bizzare and others I just cant remember. Go figure?

Nobody can stop dreaming, you just dont remember it.

BradM 01-17-2005 12:23 PM

Stress. That usually brings out very vivid dreams I find. I haven't had a really bad dream in awhile but recently I have been waking up going "wtf was that?!"

JayJay 01-17-2005 12:35 PM

I had a dream once that I bought a brand spanking new Ferrari.
I woke up and rushed to the window only to see an Empty space........

It was so fucking real It made me depressed for that whole day!
Driving my Beema was never the same after that Dream.

Sarah_Jayne 01-17-2005 12:38 PM

My dreams over the last few months have been beyond odd and I would rather not remember them.

fudpuck 01-17-2005 12:59 PM

I've had several periods in my life where I've had crazy dreams. Stress mixed with everything else seems to fuel them.

I highly recommend upgrading your bed. If you can't get a new one, find a deal on a memory foam mattress topper or something. It will atleast provide some temporary relief.

;)

To be bitten by snakes in dreams is supposed to have a real meaning. Freud said to be bitten by a snake is to be bitten by yourself. Basically you're trying to tell yourself something. Preparing yourself for some kinda change. FYI

fudpuck 01-17-2005 01:11 PM

Another thing..make sure you're not taking in a bunch of sugar or caffeine before you go to sleep. Your brain probably has a hard enough time trying to relax without additional stimulants.

EZRhino 01-17-2005 01:12 PM

Sounds like you need to look at you calendar more often.

Peaches 01-17-2005 01:14 PM

I have weird dreams every night and several that repeat. The most recent recurring one is my boat dock sinking. I'm sure that means I'm going to drown someone and I just don't know it....yet..... ;)

EpicLisa 01-17-2005 01:14 PM

My dreams seem to be more vivid when I go to sleep with a full stomach. That's when the weirdness appears . . . sometimes violent . . . sometimes just crazy.

Pornwolf 01-17-2005 01:26 PM

I haven't remembered a dream in quite a while.

hova 01-17-2005 01:27 PM

It all depends on how much crack I have used during the day

Napolean 01-17-2005 01:30 PM

i had a very fucked up dream last night.. scary part was it made sense tho when i thought about it

Sly 01-17-2005 01:30 PM

I eat my dinner right before I go to bed. I've done this for years though, no reason it should be changing things now. And actually, I cut soda out of my diet. I may have one can every 2-3 weeks as a treat.

Same here. I had a dream within a dream too. The 1st one had an infant who had no ears or eyes. Freaky.

Most likely you were having a muscle cramp and it worked it's way into your dream. My dreams are easily influenced by environment. Many times I have fallen asleep with the TV on and during a dream conversations will be about something that is going on in the world. When I wake up I'll find that something on the news. Even though I didn't hear it while awake my subconscious picked it up and worked it into the dream. Or I'll dream about drinking lots of water and wake up dry mouth and super thirsty. I figure my body really wanted water and my mind was trying to give it to it:upsidedow

Wow that is crazy!! Reading this shit reminded me of a dream I had 2 or so months ago. I cant remember 75% of it but I do remember the most horrid part.

I was walking through a city of rubble, talking to death himself(or someone) very calmy. As we walked along the ruined city and conversated calmy the dead and the dying were littered throughout the streets (like that tsunami pic). He brought me to a narrow path between 2 buildings and we started walkin through it. About quarter of the way through one of the dying cought my eye; an older man or woman. This person looked like he stepped on a land mine, or got blasted with a tank shell (pretty messy) but he was still alive but dying. He lay propped against the wall on the left hand side in his own pool of blood. His left arm was blown off along with one or both of his legs. As I passed him he looked directly up at me into my eyes and begged for mercy and help while holding out his severed leg with his remaining arm. None of the dead or dying affected me like this guy did. After that I dont remember what happened,, something cool im sure..

Weird thing about these kind of dreams (not all bad) is that they are very normal for me and I can remember 75% of them in detail and color. Half the time I actually realize that I am dreaming, and choose Not to wake up.

Anyone got any insight on what this stuff means?

reynold 01-18-2005 12:16 AM

Dreams can sometimes feel real. You're think you're awake but you're just dreaming.

TTiger 01-18-2005 12:03 PM

did someone ever die in their dream?
ive die 2 time in my dream till today!
so when you have died in your dream did you feel a big change in your real life like a new begining?

thats so fucked up this kinda dreams

VideoPass_Alex 01-18-2005 12:05 PM
