Just saw the movie...not bad for a horror flick

Yeah, I have seen it too. It wasn't so bad but not that great either.

Meh, it was alright for what it was. It wasn't worth paying for though.

As a diehard fan of both series who could probably write a trivia book on each of them, I enjoyed the movie and loved the little inside jokes and nods to the other movies in each respective series.

it had some fun death scenes, a dark sense of humor and whole lot of popcorn entertainment

freddy v jason was a lot better than i thought it would be

I'd have to add
I was always against the idea of bringing these two franchises together, but Ronny Yu did an amazing job
he showed respect to the genre fans but didn't keep it too fanboyish to alienate the typical mainstream/casual moviegoer

I'm also not happy about a sequel unless the same creative team is brought back

I'd much rather see a new Friday installment (there have been rumors of sticking Jason in a polar setting, which is, IMHO, a better idea than sending him into fucking space)

No Friday the 13th movie will ever top Jason X.

haha, there were definitely some creative kills

my favorite of the series though is Part 4, where Jason kind of stops being boogeyman Jason and transforms into zombie Jason in Part 6 (after sitting out Part 5)

and you can never go wrong with a good hacksaw kill + Corey Feldman + the wuss from Last America Virgin + Crispin Glover
