Licensed content question
 

i have a few licensed pic sets to use on my domains the domains i use them on is listed on the license but i wanted to put the pics on a friends server and hotlink to them from his server to save my bandwidth he has to much and never uses it all!!

do you think this would be a problem the pics i bought would be on his server but only be displayed on my domain........i dont think the content provider would care.

... why don´t you assign "pics.domain.com" to your friends server and hotlink the pics from there ... this should keep you out of trouble for sure. but the best is to ask your content provider, because he/she is the only one that really knows ... I am just guessing ...

As a ocntent provider myself I'd be kewl with it, but you should check with the person you bough from ever content provider has a slightly diffrent spin on it

I agree with everyone else - you should ask...
some content providers can be really letigious but others don't give a shit...

I know the stuff that I licence is licensed for use on a specific URL so - i spose if the pics were on another server it wouldn't matter as long as they are displayed on YOUR domain.
