Sports fans and "we" and "my team"...
"We're going to the superbowl" - no, you arnt, a buncha players who represent your city are, YOU did nothing.
"My teams gonna blah blah blah"... dude, "your team" probably wouldnt even allow you within 15 feet of its players, they dont like you, they just want your money, and they're getting in. "We won!!!"... no, im pretty sure THEY won, and you just sat there. Anyone else find it strange how hardcore fans think they joined their favorite team or some shit? [/RANT] |
I hate when people do that...
|
yah me to
|
no fans.. no revenue.. no point.. fans are such a major part of the action.. why not allow them the pleasure of enjoying the sport at that level.. they are the ones that drive the world of sports.. not the sorry ass that can't identify himself with sports at all..
keep a team close to you and enjoy the feelings :thumbsup |
I pay taxes to support my local team. Its pretty common for sports fans to say. "We" are going to do this etc. Its not a big deal.

"We put out a huge fire today!" ...while you sit at home and watch it on the news? LOL |

I would take this even further and require teams to distribute (NFL) Super Bowl rings and (MLB) World Championship rings and (NCAA) National Championship rings to every one of their fans whenever they win a title. |
I talk like that at times.

I played Basketball from like age 8 to 18, I know what its like to REALLY be part of a team, and from that point of view, I know how clueless the people watching front the stands are. My only point is, enjoy the game, but remember your only a fucking SPECTATOR. Oh well, gotta give the major sports leagues props for their marketing at the least. :2 cents: |
there is no i in team

And yes I do say "my local police force". OR "Our Fire Dept" put that fire out fast. Its not a big deal. |
Xplicit: don't agree with you at all. But I understand if you can't relate to a team. You just got to have the feeling. Just seemes like you don't. Nothing wrong with that, just respect the people that do.
I've been a Liverpool supporter all my life, its not my town at all (I'm Norwegian). I've been a fan since the day I was born. I come from a family where all my older brothers and father are fans. We've all played at a high level, but still we can relate to the same thing. It's that community feeling where we are a part of it. It's us vs them every week. We all share the same interrest with tons of fans from around the globe. The team can't do without us as we are the supporters that drive them. Doesn't seem like you can develope that feeling. It might seem silly, but if you do, you'll know how it is.. |
I sometimes say it, but I know what your trying to say.
|
I am a part of my club, my club is a part of me, and you have no clue.
|
without the fans dishing out the money, there would be no team
|
we don't like where you are going with this!
|
My pittsburgh team is going to finaly win the super bowl this year.
Some times I wish I was born in the 60's so I could have been around for those super bowls we won during the 70's. |
