Accident update:
 

In reference to this thread.

Somebody asked why the Yukon owner did not move their car after the first car hit it. Here are a few more details....

The Yukon slid down the hill, jumped the curb, and got stuck in a yard. The other truck involved slid down the hill, hit the Yukon, spun around, and died. Then I came along, slid down the hill, hit the Yukon, and was also stuck until the ice thawed.

Here are some pics. The majority of the damage done to the Yukon was done by the front bumper of the other truck. The damage is nowhere near as bad as I was expecting and luckily nobody else slide into me over night. :)

On another bad note.....My insurance company made the requested change to increase my liability a few months ago but at the same time, they seem to have raised my deductible to $1000.00 instead of the $500 I wanted. Bastards. I'm not even sure how much the damage is to my Jeep. I guess I'll find out tomorrow morning. I already have an appointment for the appraisal and a loaner car from the body shop is waiting for me.

Vehicle damage...The other truck did the majority of the damage to the Yukon but only has a couple of scratches.

well your jeep doesn't look too bad. probably like 4k worth of damage.

those plastic bumpers are expensive, but luckily once its fixed you'll never know what happened.

How bout 2,611 miles west of San Diego? That's where we are movin' in the Summer. The only problem with ice there will be what flavor shave ice you want. :)

I also got sick and tired of the Portland weather. It was miserible. I made the move down to San Diego about 5 years ago. Gave up my "Oregon Citizenship" within a week. lol But, I didn't like San Diego. It's often overcast half the day, and although it was heaven compaired to Portland it wasn't the amount of sun I was looking for. Moved from there to Huntington Beach. Same thing with the clouds. Almost 2 years ago I moved out to Palm Springs, and love it. Sunny year round. Perfect pool weather for 6 months of the year.

Eeek. Glad to hear you aren't hurt, but it sucks your Jeep got a little damage. Just thank God a cop wasn't around and threw a ticket for failure to control or some crao like that on top of everything!

damn thats a hill and a half. I had to pick up a chick that was on a hill like that. we left her car there because just us closing the door after she got out made it slide even more. ice is not fun.
