My ccbill ratios are retarded

Yeah yeah bring it on...shitty traffic, shitty sponsors blah blah.

Theyre simply scrubbing like hell.

The amount of people who get their perfectly fine cc rejected by ccbill is simply retarded.
Protecting their business from fraud and chargeback is good. Doing that while losing 50% of legit customers is idiotic.

Then again, i dont run a processing company so i dont know how it works but as a paysite owner and affiliate im getting highly annoyed by it.

Sly 01-16-2005 04:56 PM

As a paysite owner, why don't you have cascade processing setup? Or bare minimum, a secondary option for potential members?

Franck I know how you feel man. CCBill sales right now are VERY bad.

You're not the only one to be experiencing this, I know a few others who are not very happy with them at the moment.

What suprised me is that you can't use epass with ccbill. But you can with paycom and epoch..

What are the reasons for the denials? That is what I look at...

CCBILL can not help it if people type the wrong info, Do not have money and so on...

If you want to see a bright side to it, the higher scrubbing dramatically decreases password trading if you only accept credit cards. You know that if a credit card is accepted, they scrubbed the shit out of it and there's a 99.8% chance that the user is legit and won't trade his password.

In the current state of processing, would you rather they scrubbed less, but then get their accounts shut down and go out of business (like *cough* numerous companies I know of) ??

Few facts for you, as I have worked with tons of processors both 3rd party and gateways artound the world:

1 - If your sponsor has a proven track record of low chargebacks, you might notice lighter scrubbing.

2 - With increasing rates of gateways, having your own merchant account loses one of its main advantages. I can tell you for fact that our CCBill discount rate is less than some new merchant accounts.

3 - Banks are only going to get tighter on creditcards. Wouldn't you prefer to have no problems, than suddenly start looking for a new processor OR see your sales start taking a HUGE dive as your processor concedes and tightens their scrubbing ?
