WANTED: A Photo Gallery/Blog Type Script
 

I've got a family member who is going on a 4 month cruise around the world. What I would like is some sort of photo gallery that will enable this person to upload pictures (600-1,000 at a time) along with a description for each picture.

Does any such script exist? Can you recommend any?

If not, can you, or someone you know create one for me?

Check out Coppermine Photogallery (http://coppermine.sourceforge.net) or Gallery (http://gallery.menalto.com). Both open source, both very solid. Gallery is probably a little easier to use, though Coppermine has more advanced features, IMHO. They are both easy to install.
