If you been reading me ya know I been following the PC/Internet Convergance into Home Entertainment systems and watching HD standards and products comming to market.

In San Francisco, Mr Ando was fulsome in his praise for Apple's software, and the two companies are working together to develop the market for high-definition (HD) digital video. Apple and Sony would make a powerful partnership in the home entertainment world, where Intel and Windows-based media PCs have so far failed to make much impact.

Sony's president is Kunitake Ando.

I been predicting Windows will make a move for the HD market, and occupy entertainment centers in homes however with this event now I am not so sure. Its gonna get bloody.
SONY and APPLE stand to possibly change some things, I didnt expect this.

That's a strong combo. I think I'm not alone when I say I would be first in line to buy the products that come from that pairing.

If it goes SNY and APPLE then its going to be Blu Ray HD formats.
For video guys that shoot HD this is important.
Which happens to be SONY's proprietary HD Format.

I better start thinking different.

this isn't really news as sony and apple have been working closely for years. sony used to sell apple clones in european markets and attempted to buy apple in the past year or so but steve jobs didn't like the offer.

I am ordering a mini mac for my living room. So apple won mine.

SNY APPLE or MS/Toshiba?
The only thing at stake that concerns me is the stock of course and what hardware I should invest in this year. I banked pretty hard on Toshiba's HD spec. I am prolly gonna get screwed and going to have to buy new stuff to keep up with the BLu Ray HD Specification.

Apple does't get into proprietary stuff anymore they're into open source and universal standards so you won't have to worry they don't pull a Microsoft on anyone.

Looks like a G5 or what ever for me and couple new camara's then...
