If for some reason you were no longer able to submit galleries what would you do to make money?

I dont make any money from galleries.... I bought the submit thing and did like 600 galleries this week and only got 200 hits wtf. I confirm a total of 400 emails and get 50 join page hits.

Thank god for all of my free sites.

I would pry try to get some sort of job with the sponsors that I make most of my money with. Atleast try to anyways. Also I would do more search engine/ppc stuff.

I've never been able to wrap my brain around building and submitting galleries. I get bored and frustrated with the whole process. Oddly enough, I can build and sub free sites with no prob.

buy gallery spots or banners.

I'd start linking up all my previous galleries, that's a lot of search engine food. Keep that up daily + constant freesite building/submitting and it'd be fine. :)

both are tedious and boring, but if your building free sites you might as well be submitting the galleries to tgps in the process.

This is what I want to know, why would you give a gallery to the search engines? That's like throwing away traffic. Why don't you make hundreds of niche separated & renamed HPA's and FPA's, link them up and optimize them for the se's?

You're right. I've probably taken more time to tweak and prune my free site submit list than my TGP list. I'm sure if I take the time to work the TGP list and figure out where I should sub to get the most out of my time I would find it less painful of a process.

i do more than just submit galleries already. i do AVS, Freesites, Mainstream, SEO, etc etc

i actually do more of everything else than galleries.

i use Chameleon for that, and then when i check my stats, i look at the refering url and my hosting stats to figure out whos sending the most hits.

took a good month to see who was sending decent traffic and who wasnt. :2 cents:

I never understood people who submit galleries (I do submit galleries form time to time, but only 1/week to like 20 TGPs). It's so short sighted it's insane. The moment you stop sumbitting, traffic drops bigtime. Submitting galleries is like working in McD, the moment you walk out the door, the money stops.

So why not saying what you do rather than just criticize (sp) gallery submitters? :2 cents: :winkwink:

I run my own niche TGP that makes a nice coin each month, I'd probably just stop accepting gallery submissions and run FHG's instead. Then I would probably focus on free sites and focus more on my mainstream projects.

Its too boring to make and submit galleries, they have no soul.

Creating and submitting galleries has to be the most tedious and boring job on earth. I throw a few at the auto-submitters each month but would rather give away 60% on hosted movie galleries and let someone with a higher energy level do it.

I do envy the few big profitable tgps like The Hun though. Awesome business model with little bandwidth or expenses, wish I had thought of that first. :upsidedow

ive had traffic come in from tgps i submitted over a year ago and sometimes it takes months to get accepted, but your right if you flat out stop the traffic crawls.

Ya making 100-120k a year on galleries is wicked short sited ....
I guess if you spend it all on coke and hookers it is but a smart person would use that to invest in something worthwhile .

You have to do it RIGHT, not just a little bit, and then you'll see the value :)

I still get signups from galleries I've submitted more than a year ago, so gallery submitting might not be the best business model, but for me it's always something that works for me. And for newbies it's IMO the best way to get started and to get used to the Industry.
And if you do it right AND fulltime you can earn at least 3-4k per month just from doing hard "manual" work, and expand your business from there by buying gallery spots, which should give you a good ROI cause you've gained some good experience from your "manual" work.

You guys sure love to cut up submitters and submissions, but for some of us, its somewhere to start.

I don't think Its worth to submit galleries if you ag=have no payed spots or partner accounts dude, i was using that RS for more than 4 months sucks, I figure out instead of wasting time and money in that why not build a site http://www.unlimitedfreegalleries.com Actually start getting sign ups, and the traffic is improving fast, in the same time I work on to boost the PR :thumbsup

And that wont happen because if gallery submission stops, TGPs stop and its a chain reaction.
